    1967 327/350HP Exhaust Manifold help

I've been scouring the Internet and my judging manual for the correct exhaust manifolds that I need for my car. I'm still a little lost as to what the correct part numbers are. I have a SB 327/350 HP coupe with factory A/C. The manifolds that I currently have on the car are part number LH 3846563 and the RH 8797902 with a 2.5 outlet (I think these may be for a 63-65 car?). From what I can tell is that the 66 through 67 small blocks all had 2 inch outputs. In the judging manual it separates the numbers between those with A.I.R. and non A.I.R.. This is a really dumb question probably but is the A.I.R. for factory A/C cars or is that some kind of SMOG system? Anyway, any help would be appreciated. I inherited this car 20 years ago from my father and I am just now doing the frame off restoration at a local shop.

    Thanks,

'67's had 2 in. outlets. A.I.R.was a smog device for Calif. cars; had nothing to do with AC.

Thats what I was thinking but kind of embarrassed to ask! Thanks William! So then I'm on the hunt for 3846559 & 3747042. Anyone know what the difference is on the LH 3846559 and 384559A?

I assume you mean 3846559A. Other than the "A" suffix, there is no discernible difference I know of between the 3846559 and 3846559A.

          Hi Joe,

Actually in my 4th edition judging guide the "6" was missing. I thought that was kind of strange! I've noticed the manifolds I've found on EBAY have had casting dates. Do they all have casting dates or are there sets without the dates?

          Thanks,

          Larry

The original 2-1/2" manifolds (not correct for your car, of course) do not have casting dates. The 2" manifolds are seen both ways. However, I would generally expect to see casting dates on 1967 2" manifolds.

Perfect, so I'll try to find a pair that is a month or two before my engine build date or without. Thanks Joe!

                Larry -

Your 4th Edition is at least ten years out of date; you really should order the new 5th Edition, which is over 250 pages and chock-full of photos and new information.

                  Hi John,

I didn't realize mine was so far out of date! I'll have to order a new copy this week.
