Paragon vs original 56-57 front bumperettes

Can someone tell me what the difference is between original and the Paragon repo 56-57 VERTICAL front bumperettes? As I understand, the repos from Paragon will not pass judging. But why?

Through some research when I restored a 1960, what I found was that the early reproduction bumperettes where stamped out and have a rounded front edge. That was what was on my car at the time. What I found in my research was that the originals where two halves welded together with a much sharper leading edge.

i purchased a new set from Corvette Specialties of MD West and they passed both Regional and National judging with no comments. Theirs are welded as the originals. You could ask Paragon who they get the ones they sell from.
