wheels 66 knock off and 67 bolt on help

Am talking to a guy at the moment who's selling a so called org set of 66 wheels / brushed cone , I've asked him for pictures of the kh stamp and # plus the build stamp that ones easy , its either there or not org or repo

He's also selling a set of 67 org wheels ? Are there any unique stamping on the 67 he's asking low $ really don't want to buy a set of repo,s any help would be good cheers Keith

Last I knew on one was making an aluminum wheel for '67 with the correct width fins, they used the knockoff castings and the difference in fin width can be spotted across the room.

I thought ( correct me if wrong) that America's Finest did correct wheels.

Easy to check, just measure the fin width on an original and carry that with you when shopping, The Bolt-on fins are much less thick than the Knockoff versions.

Guys I need help here no real 67 wheels within my area possibly Country - could one of you walk out to the garage and measure the thickness of the fins , pictures would also help thanks Keith

Keith, the fin width on America's Finest is very close to the originals....however, how the fins meet with the outer wheel are not like the originals. Also, look for the mold patches on the rear (though one brand of repops has the mold patches) and also the wheel lip on an original is much deeper than the repro's. take some pics of the wheels and post them here or email them to me. would be happy to help you if I can. I'll send over the picture he sent to me of all 5 wheels - the guy also sent me the pictures of the 66 wheels all date stamped with KH plus # they look good - the same guy has the 67 he wants about $4500 for the 67 wheels and $2500 for the 66 - will keep you posted - Keith
