Stats for 1979 Corvettes

I have an early 1979 Corvette (#300 produced) and have been attempting to value the car. The only source I know at this time is Hagerty, are there other sources to determine the value? I am finding it very hard to find much info on the 79 model year and given it was the most produced Corvette I find it strange that they are so hard to come by in any buy and sale directories, anyone have an answer as to why. I should mention this is an original matching numbers car. I have done a body on restoration due to the originality of the car. Mileage is 88350 km or approximately 55.300 miles.

Try Kelly Blue Book...their value should give you a range when considering the Hagerty values. Late model C3 values have been down over the past several years so expect to be disappointed. I have had my 78 silver anniversary since 1993, purchased for $15 with 21k miles. If I sold it today, I would be surprised to get my investment even though it has 35k miles and the NCRS 5-star Bowtie award. Not knowing your options, low teens is probably a reasonable range to expect. BUT...do your research. What are the values in the market for a 79 with your options...and compare to what you find with KBB and Hagerty. Keep us posted!
