I am hoping one of you guys is up to speed on this, because I am lost. I am finishing up a frame off on a 1971 LT-1, I am currently installing all the new wire harnesses, I have the engine harness done, the Transistor ignition harness run, and the interior harness sort of in, the body is still off the chassis. On the instructions that came with the T/I harness it says a few things that is causing my problem, it says connect the white wire that is in the T/I harness with the plastic male connector to pink wire coming through the firewall, I don't know what pink wire there talking about, there is a 12 ga pink wire that is in the interior ignition switch plug that is to be removed, but what do you do with the removed wire?, and is there a separate wire that is run that I don't have?, and if so where does it connect to?, I am good with electrical, but really could use a directional pointing on this one, thanks in advance, Ron
Here is an update, I found out there is a pink wire that has to be added, connects to the white wire in the T/I harness to the ignition wire harness, so I guess you run this wire, unplug the pink wire in the ignition harness and plug this new pink wire into the same location it that should work, I guess taping up the end of the old pink wire would be a good idea, I am still not completely sure but I think this is the way it should be done.
