Is there a better source than Paragon for "correct" shocks? I currently have worn Monroe brand. I'd rather buy just once, instead of getting something incorrect and having to purchase a second time.
Brain, being in the auto trade I prefer Monroe reflex or Sense Trac shocks both have lifetime warranties. And really do look close to the originals as long as its a base suspension, Just paint them with quanta's gray shock paint.

The only "correct" shocks are going to be used shocks with the proper dates, which are rare and expensive far beyond the small originality points allocated to them (5 front, 5 rear). If you use Delco replacements (which are likely to be Monroe or other brand) and paint & sticker them properly, at least you'll get credit for GM Service replacements.
Thanks, gentlemen. After remembering to check their point values, I'll go with the Paragon variety and save my 15%! Used originals weren't an option anyway, as I'll be driving from time to time.
If you are considering using the Delco shocks that Paragon sells, you can probably find them on Amazon or one or two other online suppliers for about $30 to $35 each. I have been using those shocks on my midyears for several years, and I really like their performance. The part numbers are 530-4, and 530-315 as I recall. Paint them gray, put on the white code tags and you are good to go!
The front shocks once installed will generally pass judging since the stampings are not visible. The rears using the CDCIF requirements will lose the date and stampings as long as you have the correct configuration, decals and paint them correctly expect a max deduct of 40%. Remember the rubber is only painted gray on the one end.
