1994 wiper question

    1994 wiper question

    there is a plastic sleeve that snaps onto the arm that holds the windshield washer hose. the the plastic sleeve broke on mine. now when I use my wipers the hose flaps in the wind. is the sleeve found separately or must I buy the whole arm.

    That's a good question. Call your local Chevy dealer and ask them. I'm not sure how that is serviced.Dave

      I don't think that little sleeve is serviced alone.

        That's what I was thinking. But I don't have a parts book that shows a break down.

        But it I did talk to a person that will be bring a used arm up to spring Carisle that I will get it.

          The clip/sleeve was not available from GM separately.

          As far as a used one goes, consider that these things deteriorate from sun and weather. So, a used one is likely to have much of its life "used up".

          Vaguely, I seem to recall that these things are reproduced. I could be mistaken but you might try calling a C4 parts source like Corvette Central, Mid-America, or Eckler's.

            Thanks Joe. I have to laugh a little about your comment on the used part being used up. As my 94 is my daily driver, has over 155,xxx miles and counting and is parked out side all the time While keep my car clean and good looking it's better days are well behind it. I just don't like broken parts. I also no the true value of it so I tend not to restore it much
