Unfortunately, I ran into a stumbing block which no longer makes it sound too easy. I had to learn the hard way about how I need to learn to pay attention to detail. Although my initial reaction to receiving my carburetor was of great delight, there are several issues with it. Unfortunately, I cannot put the carb on my list of items "DONE." It is far from done and I am working on coming up with a plan.
    Marc,

As inexpensive as a generic Quadrajet can be when bought for parts, is there any reason you didn't replace the linkage and assorted pieces? I would have thought you could buy one for parts and use it rather than the pieces that were blasted and repainted.

Well although I do not have the part in my garage yet I am going to declare that my search for my 1100543 is over.
I found a viable replacement for the incorrect one that is in my car. I should have that alternator shipped to me
and will toss it with the other treasures I found. When time runs out they will all be put on the car at one time and
then that will be it. I go with what I got. I still have lots of time to find other items. I am on the hunt for the next item.
