54 Trunk Compartment Screws

    54 Trunk Compartment Screws

    I've attached a photo and want to know if the screws are correct for fastening the spare tire inner cover to the body? They appear to be #10 self threading and finished in black oxide.

    Also, should the screws that go through the body and into the cover at the trunk opening above the latch supposed to be countersunk or pan head like those in the photo?

      I've always seen silver cad/zinc plated pan head Phillips in that location.Chuck

          Pan Head Zinc/Cad - self tap - normally a little longer.

              Is the new 53-55 JG available yet? I understand it has been significantly expanded and is about 370 pages long.

                  It is not out yet - I am being told it will be released after Nationals....

                                      I purchased one at Barrett-Jackson NCRS booth. If the weight is any indication of the content wow. It is chock full of great info and photos. One of the best I have ever purchased. How's that Dave, and Greg.
