1963 tachometer cable replacement
Hello togetherI have a question. Where can I get a correct 1963 tachometer cable for my Corvette?The old one is broken, which was a replacement, measuring almost 26 inches.I read that it should not be that long and now I am searching where I could get one with the right length.Car build date was May 6, 1963.Thank you for any help.

Ruedi, no one makes an exact copy of the original. Occasionally a real one comes up on ebay usually around $125.00.
Yours should be gray in color.
What color is yours, black or gray? If it's gray post a picture of the ends. You can replace the inner cable easily.

Mine is gray in color.
It looks really bad, also the case, so I would like to buy one which works and has the appropriate length.
First I thought of buying the one from Paragon which is only 24 3/4 inch long https://www.paragoncorvette.com/p-35...ay-jacket.aspx
Would this work in my Corvette?

Yes, that one should be fine, but from a judging stand point......Tachometer Cable (gray), 63-64 ncrs judging guide states on 63 plastic is over metal ferrule.

Harry, it had once been replaced before and is surely not original. At the moment it will be best for me to get a working reproduction one.
