Scott,this is great....thanks for putting up.When you watch this you know why they only built 300 the first year,all manual-labor.

Fascinating footage!....great find Scott, thank you for sharing it. The film projector sound really enhances the viewing experience, narration totally unecessary. Labor intensive, hazardous and messy process, dedicated work force to be sure, should make us appreciate the Corvette's ancestry even more fully.

As I recall, Steve Koss once indicated that Parts Fabrication had purchased every spatula within a three mile radius of the plant.

Years ago I worked with some folks from GM Parts Fabrication. They were some of most talented people I've ever met. They could build or make anything you could dream of.
Not sure if that dept is still around or it got folded into another organization. It was on 12 mile road across from the GM tech center.
