    NCRS Server problem!

Our so called server provider attempted an upgrade to our server on Friday afternoon. When it didn't go as well as it should they took off for the weekend. The "Tech Support" people tell us there is nothing that they can do until the server people come in on Monday. The Online Store, Online Registration, Membership Manage, Update Member Details, Reset Password, Historic Document Services are all broken. On the back end Chapters can't setup events or offer awards or judging points for events that take place this weekend.

As you probably know we plan on rolling out the Classified section on Monday December the 2nd. Well it may be Monday afternoon or evening before it can go online. We are at the mercy of 1&1 the big internet hosting company that you see advertising on TV. They must spend more money on TV ads than on technical support for their "valuable" customers.

There is a reason it is called "Black Friday".

It's truly brain-deficient that a Friday AFTERNOON was chosen for such work by 1&1. Sunday late PM/Monday early AM would have been my support management choice.

....of course, if their so called "support" experts reside in some Eastern European/Southern Eurasian/Asian locale, then I guess it is in fact Friday late PM/Saturday early AM.....isn't it, for THEM!(insert expletive here)

What kind of upgrades? Hope it wasn't some "social media" thingy to optimize our ability to wait for all those links to process every time a new click occurs.(sorry, i guess i need more coffee!)

Sorry you guys get headaches over this stuff. I'm sure Gary is disappointed about the Classifieds rollout, now I am.

Is our service provider the same one doing Obama Care?

Because last time they attempt the server upgrade two weeks ago it actually didn't happen at all (and they forgot to tell us when they eventually failed and rolled back)...

Rob, That wasn't very nice of them! I hope they have a "Feedback" department that informs their management about these issues so they can get a little better at their communications skills.

So does it still look good for the Classifieds rollout tonight if they get this thing fixed?

I've got my knuckles cracked for the upcoming keystrokes and pictures ready for all of the ads I want to place. I've recently sold a bunch of stuff on Ebay at 13% commission(ouch!) and might have a few bucks left over in my Paypal account to pay for the Classified ads.

                  Rich,

Server's restored and Classified Ads is on-line this morning. Scott Sinclair beat you and placed the first ad.

Yes, 1and1 has a complaint department, but it didn't make any difference over the weekend.
