68 power brake booster date question

I tried searching past threads on translating date codes but did find my answer. How would this date code translate? 7K 1 317B 11013? I think that is the code I read. The TIMJG calls out last year as the first number followed by Julian date code.
    7 could be 67, maybe 77 if a replacement?
What month is K as it relates to boosters?
What does the 1 pertain to?
I can assUme 317 day, but is B?

    Any help is appreciated-thanks!

Pat. I know my booster is the original one but I can't locate the date> I know the TIMJG mentions a date but no luck finding it. Maybe I'll have to look a little closer.

Re: 68 power brake booster date question

Thanks Jack, any info is greatly appreciated.
The booster in my car needs to be replaced and the one I'm looking at had that date code.
Reading the TIMJG, and Richard Prince's book to decode this, both explanations are very similar as to last number of year followed by Julian date. I am just not sure where the others numbers fit in or if this is even the one I'd need for my car for judging. I'm hoping it translates to Nov 13th 67

        Thanks Again,
        Pat

Patric I came across your thread. Did you ever find out for sure? I have a booster for my survivor that reads 7K 1. 115A. 10842.

Re: 68 power brake booster date question

From what I remember most 70-72 date codes.
            1. A number for the year
            2. Julian date code
            3. Shift
            4. A partial part number

            Patrick yours is 7K 1 317B 11013?
            1. 7=1967
            2. K=an internal code or plant
            3. 1= internal code
            4. 317= Nov 14th, 1967
            5. B= second shift
            6. 11013?= part number or total production number.

Jeff. Yours is the same sequence but April 15th, 1967 first shift and a lower last digits

The last digits are the confusing part it could be a part number but the 2 do not match. So one could assume (I know Terry but its just a SWAG) (Scientific Wild A$$ed Guess) Jeff's is the 10,842 produced and Patrick's is 110,13? produced? Someone else may have the correct information but that is my SWAG.

Re: 68 power brake booster date question

Hi Jeff, thanks for the follow up to my thread, I was pretty confident the booster was the one I needed so i bought it and its on my car now. What is the build date of your car? Most of my parts that appear to be original all have a late Jan / feb build date for my March 7th car- hey, today is its Birthday!!
