Need to know the configuration for the wires on a 54 horns, i.e. is there a single wire coming out of the intereior of the horn, or is there a terminal post on the horn that you attach the front wire harness to? are there any part numbers on the horns?
the horn wires are apart of the wiring harness,
the horn wires are black
the harness comes across in front of the radiator support at the top
the horn wires drop down to the horns out of the harness.....

There is a terminal on the horn for the hot wire. The ground wire attaches to one of the bolts that holds the horn to the bracket.
The horns are the "sea shell" type. The lo note has 687 on it and the high note has 688. Those are the last three digits of the part number.
These horns were used on a wide variety of 6V GM cars and are not rare. But the Corvette bracket differs from the passenger car bracket. Over the years I have made duplicates of the correct brackets to convert passenger car horns to Corvette horns. Still have some if you need them.
In any case, even though the horn looks good, test it before you buy it. Many do not work.
