    69 427/390hp EXHAUST GASKETS

    Guys,
Does anyone make individual cylinder exhaust gaskets? So far all I have found were the single piece type that have all 4 cylinders included on one gasket and it looks terrible.
    Thanks in advance,
    Brad

Your engine did not originally have gaskets between the exhaust manifolds and heads. It's a quicky fix for warpage issues. The best way to correct warp is to measure the surfaces for flatness and mill them flat, if required.

      Thanks Duke,
I knew they didn't have gaskets originally but I thought maybe someone made a gasket aftermarket for individual cylinders. If not, I'll try truing up the manifolds.
      I appreciate the help,
      Brad

Permatex Copper silicone will help with the sealing

Thanks Dick, I'll try that. I wasn't sure it would hold up to exhaust heat but I'll check it out.

I had headers on my 454 dually and could not keep it from blowing gaskets every three or four thousand miles. I replaced the gaskets, coated them with the Coppercoat, and when it was stolen 10k miles later the gaskets were still holding.
