I had my white 64 a/c coupe judged at the IL chapter meet last month. Although I had been through the Bloomington Gold judging process, this was my first experience with an NCRS judging meet. I wasn't sure what to expect. I found the entire process to be extremely enjoyable, not at all intimidating, and a source of valuable information concerning the proper configuration of my car. The judges were highly knowledgable and took the time to go over their findings with me, item by item. They offered tips, sources of correct parts, and ways to easily and inexpensively correct the deficiencies they found.
If you've never attended one of these events and are curious about the originality of your car then I highly recommend participating in one of these chapter meets. Its not a competition but rather a gathering of corvette people talking about corvettes. Its an enjoyable and inexpensive experience that provides you with a valuable punch list of things to do on a Saturday afternoon.
Thank you for your hospitality,
Jim and Glenda
