Is it accurate to describe the inset paint color on '65 hubcaps as close to Cast Iron Gray and the '66 inset paint as nearer to Flat Black......or....?????
Loren, I can't say about the '66, but I think the gray paint that Long Island sells is for the '65 hubcap and knock off. I will check my can for sure, Don H.

I would describe the '66 as charcoal with a rough texture.
