Re: 1965-67 big block dip stick??
Kevin,
I have many dipsticks in my collection but none for 1965-1967 BB models (GM # 3860316 where A = 17 13/32", B = 18 1/8"). However, I have had several original assembly line 1965-1967 Corvette 327 dipsticks (GM # 3739830) that were stamped "ADD", "FULL", "ENGINE OIL" and "M" (where the "M" sometimes looks like an upside "W"). I would assume that the 1965-1967 BB models would have the same stamping but would differ in length. According to the 1967 AIM "late" (revision record drawing 3/3/67) 1967's w/L36 used dip stick 3925520 where A = 17 13/32", B = 18 1/2".
I believe that the 1969-1971 dipsticks were stamped "ADD", "FULL", "USE GM6040 M QUALITY MS OIL".
I believe that the 1972-1973 dipsticks are stamped "ADD", "FULL", "USE SE ENGINE OIL" and "M".
The "over the counter" 3862730 dipsticks that I bought in the 1980's were stamped "ADD", "FULL", USE SE ENGINE OIL", "3862730", and "M".
Do your dipsticks measure as follows: A = 17 13/32" and B = 18 1/8"?
The link below might help.
