    1971 t-tops alignment

Putting my 1971 back together after painting it the T-Tops don't seem to be aligning right. There is a gap in the center between the 2 tops where you can see the chrome center member between the tops a gap of about .5-1 inch. i only removed the triangle pins and the chrome plate that the pin fits into. Is there a trick to aligning them? They fit into the two tabs for the cewnter member on each side and the pin up by the windshield.

Les, The t-top adjustments I believe are under the top trim panels there you'll find the chrome slide pins are on slots. Also just so you know there is a larger than normal gap at the center.another thing that happens sometimes is, If you replaced the top weatherstrips you find that they will roll over on back edge, What it did was tape the back edge down so they don't roll. and once they sit for a few weeks that way they will form to the contour.
