Mike, Rather than rely on photographs which as you have found are only confusing, why not use the AIM? That is the instructions to the employees installing the parts and not someone's idea that may or may not be accurate.Terry- Top

that first pic is one I posted awhile back. John Hinckly gave me a great explanation as to how those ports operate. I'll see if I can find it. I believe it does matter as to how the hoses connect. You could try each way while you shift into third and check the rpm rise.
