    Calipers for my 1967

Opinions please on brake calipers that are using new body casting & SS sleeving them vs original calipers that are rebuilt. New calipers do not require a core charge and return shipping. Something to be considered. Also my front
calipers are rebuilt and have lip seals, would it be possible to fuse O ring sealed calipers on the rear?

You can mix and match seals if you want between calipers with no ill effects. I don't know that I would use 2 different seals in the same caliper but I know that wasn't your question.
I have the "new" castings on a 1972 I service, and they work just fine. I can find no reason not to use them based on my inspection.

The only reason to use originals is if you know, without a doubt, the ones on your car now have been there since 1967.

      Jack,
The new replacements will not cut it for NCRS judging.

        Gene,

You know by now you can't say that without an explanation.
There must be some difference then between the new 67 castings and the ones I used on the 72.

          Patrick,
One easy to recognize is the cast in number, also a couple of the cast and machined surfaces differ.

I'll have to check the ones on the 72 when I'm there next week before the car leaves for the summer.
