Who makes OEM C4 keys with knockouts?

Looking for source of 1990 original keys with knockout. Contacted P Lindahl but he is primarily into the C2 & C3 cars.

I don't think Pat has the ability to do vats. Your local GM dealer can make you a key for less then 15 bucks. All you need is a vin and proof of ownership

My 1996 owners manual says that when a new Corvette is delivered, the dealer removes the plugs from the keys, and gives them to the first owner. However, the ignition key man not have a plug. If the ignition key doesn't have a plug, there will be a bar-coded tag instead.
At this moment I don't remember if the dealer gave me any knockouts to my new 1996's keys. My 96's two sets of keys on the two PKE transmitters given to me do not have knockouts.

Here are some photos of knockouts.

They are from a 1992.

The third photo shows them with other Corvette Stuff, don't know the year.

I have all the original keys and FOBs for my 1995. Only one knock out and no bar code on the key with no knock out. Must have got lost somewhere.

No, only one, as set forth in the Owners Manual.

My original owner 96 came with 2 FOBs, two sets of keys, and two door-key knockouts. Don't know if that's typical, but that's what I got.

Pat, Chevrolet thought that you were such a nice guy they gave you two FOBs.

Look in your owners manual and see what it says in there about the number of FOBs you should have received.

The 1995 owners manual says one FOB and that you could order more.

Yeah, I know Pat, Chevy loves me. I haven't looked at my owner's manual yet, but if you look at Jim's post above, his original owner 96 LT4 came with two FOBS as well.

Also, Jim states the manual says that not all ignition keys came with knockouts, some came with a bar code tag. Mine came with neither, only door-key knockouts. Have you researched if some 96s did not come with ignition key knockouts?

Pat, just looked and my 96 manual says I should have one FOB standard, but I got two for whatever reason. It also reads exactly as Jim says regarding the knockouts.

For all the Folks, on page 2-4 of the 1996 Owner's Manual it states in part "Your Corvette comes standard with one PIKE transmitter. An additional transmitter is optional, and up to three can be matched to your vehicle".

So you see Pat, Chevrolet thought very highly of you and sent you an extra PIKE transmitter.
