I drove my '60 (only car I owned at the time) all winter in 1974 - Iowa. Unfortunately I only had the soft top at the time. It was not what I would call a great snow car but the heater did work. Don H.- Top

Too true Don, In my '60, (hardtop only) with the temp. set to max. and blower on high you can be roasted out of the car on even the most frigid of northern winter days. This of course is dependent on having installed a high-temp thermostat and that both heater core and engine radiator are not scaled-up and/or corroded. That small cockpit warms up fast but out on the highway with only a soft-top, I'm thinking things might get a little drafty at -30F temps!.....

I drove my first 62 back in the early 70s after returning from the garden spot of SE Asia. I had snow tires since I took the back blacktops all the time. The heater worked just fine, but the wipers and defroster left a lot to be desired. Wish I had taken pictures.- Top
