    1969 Paint code 900

Have run into a interesting possible anomaly. I am helping an friend sell a 69 project car. I have known the car for 20 plus years, and always believed the car to be originally white. Car has a paint code of 900 (Tuxedo Black).
OK, so I figure the car had been repainted at some time, but they did a REALLY good job, because they got white overspray in places that are not normally accessible unless the car is disassembled before painting.

Then I was poking around on other Corvette sites and I find two other cars with paint code 900 that owners state may have originally been white.

The car I am messing around with has been banged up and stored in a barn for over 20 years. I know that for a fact. I met the owner in January of 1991, and he had the car, banged up and in the barn, at that time. The owner
passed away some time ago, and I am helping his widow deal with this thing.

I know this is way way out there, but those of you that know me know that way way out there is where I usually am, so here goes. Is there any evidence or indication that some 1969 Corvettes with paint code 900 left the plant with white paint?

I am going to take a much closer look at this late build 69 and see what evidence I can locate of original paint color in locations that don't normally get touched when a car gets repainted. Stay tuned......

This is a black and white issue, if I ever saw one.

Car was originally Black. We were able to confirm that with original paint is some obscure locations.
