In the process of finishing off my car and there has been some debate on the oil line for the 68 427 cars, the new judging manual call for a steel line and that's what I'm going to install but should the have a coil in it like the mid-years?
Thanks, Bob
I don't think there is enough length for a coil in the line. I put a copper line in my 427 / 435, it is the proper factory lenght and there is not enough line for there to be a coil like the mid years (I had a 67 - 427 also and there was a coil in the line). I was surprised when I went to instll the line in my 68 because of that, in looking at many other 68s there does not appear to be a coil normally in the steel line.
