66 Heater Blower Question

Does the heater fan blower motor use a gasket or any type of sealant where it attaches to the heater box housing?

yes , a foam gasket if i recall correctly. its supplied with the heater seal kit from long island. mike

UPDATE: Received above part and it does not appear to be subject gasket (fan blower motor to heater box housing). I believe it to be for sealing the round section of the heater box housing to the firewall.

I removed original blower motor 5044555 and did not notice any gasket, it may have had some sort of sealant but difficult to say for sure?

I just removed my 67 (air car) and it had a bead of dumdum around the plate sealing it to the housing.
