    Late 68 Seat Belts

Are the buckles painted or brushed steel? Recommendations on restoration services? Thank you

I once saw a last couple of weeks of 1968 production M08 IIRC that had seat belt buckles colored the interior color -- bright blue. Whether the plastic was painted or colored all the way through, I don't know.

The just-revised 1968-69 JG states that 1968s had brushed stainless buckles and that the colored buckles were used for part of 1969 production. But who is to say some late '68s didn't have them?

Later 1969s were brushed stainless but a different design than '68. There are pictures of all three in the JG.
