Stripped door clip screw holes in doors, solutions?
Stripped door clip screw holes in doors, solutions?
in my 68 doors, the screw holes for the door panel clips are stripped, so the screws don't tighten. Any tips to fix this? Also, the holes at the top of the doors that the chrome panel screw goes in to (through the panel) seem too big for the screws that come with the kits.

Steve, I used a paper clip , I bent the clip into a V-shape and put a small bent at each end of the V shape to keep it from pushing into the inside of door. worked great for that issue.

One more tip, chrome trim screws can be purchased with over size shanks. Ex #10 screw with #8 head they can be purchased in various lengths and various combinations of head and shank sizes.
