63-7 hood surround wiring clip rivet style usage

Wondering if anyone has done a survey or knows how to determine correct usage of the type of rivet used to retain the under hood wiring harness clip mounted to the sides of the hood surrounds between 1963 and 1967.
I know early they were simply bonded on and after that, some plain pop rivets and some rosette style. Was there a pattern of type used and when? What about AOS or STL cars, was there a difference between them also? I have not been able to come up with anything unless I missed it. Can anyone help?

Just so we do not screw up others who do a search on the subject - the 63/64 did not use a rivet but were bonded, see Sec 12 (63)sheet A5.00 (64)sheet A11.00

June 65 build (197xx), St. Louis body. Original rivets so far as I can tell.

I know of four different attachments. Bonded, solid aluminum rivet, standard pop rivet and rosette rivet. As for any study when they were used, and whether on AOS or St.L , I have not done any real surveys. I have observed as stated, the first ones were bonded. In 65 some solid rivets show up and in 66 rosettes are pretty common. But that's about the extent of my observations. I have also observed a revert back to bonded for a time after riveting started.

Yep, my Jan. built 67 has the pop rivet. The J-clips on the firewall all had the large head 3/16 solid rivet.

clip off my early '65 S-body D6 trim tag. solid aluminum rivet.

Is your car AOS or STL build?

Oops, sorry, I meant to type in AOS.

BTW, The J-clip kit I got from LIC --- none of them match the origional 67's.
