I am putting the original Wonderbar radio back in my car. Had to remove an outlaw radio. The antenna was ruined. If anyone has had the unfortunate pleasure of replacing a radio antenna cable in a 63, please share how to do it and any lessons learned, especially safeguarding the tip. Thanks

Re: 63 Antenna Cable Replacement and Routing
The antenna cable runs on the drivers side corner between the floor and the inner wheel well. You have to lift the carpet up and some of the foam will rip but can be glued back down after the removal and insertion. There is a rubber grommet on the back wall that seals the cable when it exits the interior. Working towards the front, you will find the cable under the metal that shields the wire under the door jamb plate. It then runs up to the front and over to the radio. I start at the antenna by disconnecting it and work towards the front. I then replace the antenna cable at the antenna and work the new cable into the old spot as best I can and connect it to the radio. Then I reglue the disturbed area carefully and maybe put some weight on the disturbed area to have a smooth look again when the glue is dry. I trust this helps.I am putting the original Wonderbar radio back in my car. Had to remove an outlaw radio. The antenna was ruined.
