New member with a new to me 1962, 340 HP car. I'm currently doing a brake job and wondering if the drums are original. The drums have a casting number (3752623) on each, with W9 on both the LR & RF, W10 LF and W11 on the RR. The drums have the anti-chatter grove machined w/springs on them and measure 11.030 (30 thousands - not sure the decimal is in the right place) telling me they have been turned .030. According to the last owner of 30 years (title supports this) they are original to this car. I appreciate your comments to include, this is not the normal kind of questions for this forum. Thanks for your help.

Re: 62 340 hp brake drums part no. 3752623 ?
My 1963 Chev. Parts Catalog (Oct. 1962) lists the following in Gr. 5.809:
59-62 Corvette (exc. H.D. Brake/Susp., metallic linings), front & rear DRUM ASSY., 3752622.
The GM parts number is rarely the same as the casting number. My educated guess is GM part # 3752622 = casting # 3752623.
The 1960-1962 Corvette H.D. Brake/Susp. drums are GM # 3784117 (front), 3776932 (rear) with a footnote that Brake Drum Fan 3776926 on front and 3776935 on rear must be used. I do not know the casting numbers.
