We are ready to set the body back on. Read all the NCRS books and learned a lot. Only two parts on this car not correct. DS exhaust manifold and TRW rear leaf. I did not remove any rivited plates on the underbody, just cleaned. Original interior etc. This car was in MN for 20 years so we had to do a lot of cleaning and scraping on frame etc. My last questions are about the channel beam on underbody between C2 body mounts 2 & 3. It's an upside down "U' with cross braces. It is a plated green like aircraft. Birdcage I believe it's called? I am not going to remove it so do I POR it in place? Is there a green paint to match this? It is about 80 percent intact after cleaning as tops of crossbraces cruddy. Leave it alone? Thanks Stephen
PS This is a restoration/preservation job and will be driven. Probably not graded since I went back with stainless bolts & lines....
