    First wrecked 2014 Stingray ?

    If this is true there's a GM Development Engineer out there with some explaining to do....

    Well that didn't take long. It's been less than a month since Chevrolet revealed the 2014 Corvette Stingray, and already one has turned up wrecked. Since the new Corvette isn't on sale yet, chances are someone at General Motors will have a sizable expense report to fill out. Caught by a poster at Digital Corvettes, [...]

                  Uh sir.....I took the prototype out to for lunch.....um.um um and a deer ran out in front of me - yeah yeah - a deer.......

                          Not the first time this has happened to a new model Corvette. A few years back a tech let his friend take one to lunch, he was showing off in the parking lot at Milford, side stepped the clutch, car went sideways, then spun smashing into two or three cars in the parking lot.

                              I used to work in the Brake Lab for what was originally Bendix, now Bosch in South Bend, IN. We had a new F150 prototype mule that was one of the first extend cabs with the 3rd door. It got T-Boned at an intersection when a technician was moving it to the Proving Grounds in New Carlisle after installing some instrumentation.

                              Nobody was hurt but the truck did sustain significant damage, needless to say Ford wasn't very happy. Company policy changed quickly on how to move vehicles from one site to another after the incident.
