What numbers should I look for on the A/C compressor for a 1967 Corvette built in Novermber of '66?
Also, does anyone have the '67 part number and did it change?
Thanks,
Mike

The 1967 Judging Manual has most of this information, but there will be a casting number and date on the rear compressor end plate. Also the compressor should have a decal on it with a part number and date code.
The dates on the compressor are generally about 2-3 months earlier than the car build date.
Post up what you find. The latest JM has this info on page 120.
Larry,
I wasn't very clear. I have read page 120. What I'm looking for and asking about is the '67 GM part number (Unless the model number was the part number also.) and if this number was ever superseded? If it was what is the later number.
Thanks,
Mike
The JM is pretty clear; 5910645 model number with a date "code number" format MMDDYS (S for shift). I've attached a picture of our mid September built 67 with it's original compressor dated July 27th 66, second shift. It needs a rebuild, so if anyone has a suggestion of someone who can restore it, I would appreciate it.

Mike -
As shown in the Assembly Manual, the GM part number is the same as the "model number' on the Frigidaire label.
It needs a rebuild, so if anyone has a suggestion of someone who can restore it, I would appreciate it.

Contact Domenic Tallarita (51287). He lives in California, and you can probably reach him by sending a PM. Otherwise search using his name in other threads......there may be a phone number.

Domenic is the man for a/c compressor rebuilding, his work is flawless, very knowledgeable. I have had numerous units done by him, always very pleased!
