    85 Headlamp

    Rebuilt motor with new gears. After 20 openings it failed. Pin in large gear with rubber bumpers had destroyed the retaining ribs. Put in another set of gears. Headlamp does not open. If handwheel in used to open only 1/4 inch the lamp will open It closes properly. I suspect the leaf switch in the motor but I really do not know how these work with the relays in the wheel well

      Quentin, too often these rebuilt motors fail. Try replacing the motor with a good used one.
