As you can see below my thermostat housing is not taking the Iowa winter well. My earlier model units have aluminum housings. This has a repo I bought and obviously is not aluminum. If this is correct a coating is needed. Thanks, Don H.thermostat housing.jpg

Donald, they were originally painted dull aluminum while on the manifold including the fasteners with slight overspray on nearby components including the bypass hose and intake manifold. Not the radiator hose, so remove it before painting.
