    C4 Headlight Discovery

I just removed my headlight that came with the car when I brought it. They are glass Sylvania H6054ST from my 95 in order to put in Wagners for the Winter Meet and I discovered that it had a code date of 101105 and it has a green marking line on it, similar to a factory markings. My car has a build date of 11/01/94. Is it possible that GM placed some glass headlights on some cars, or did they all come with Wagner plastics?

I'm changing them because I got deducted last year for the glass lights.

I'm attaching some pictures for feedback. Maybe Pat or Tom Hendricks and other C4 experts can chime in on this issue.

You may already know this but, just to be sure, I'll mention it here: it's OK to install the plastic lens sealed beams for judging. However, for driving I wouldn't "touch them with a 10 foot pole". Use the glass lens type for driving. The plastic lens sealed beams were one of the dumbest ideas anyone ever came up with.

Joe, your right. I don't do much night driving in Miami. Thanks to Big Jake, I got new plastics. Put them in today. I'm done, ready for Orlando.

I sure can't say for sure, but I'm saying the glass lights were replacements on your car.

Ed, there is not much I can add here, other than see you in Kissimmee.

Pat, see you there. Maybe all the C4 people can have a reunion.
