1968 BB mystery parts need identifying

My less than capable mechanic returned two brackets that I cannot identify. See the two black brackets in the attached photo that look like engine parts. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, Sal. I agree. It's the proportioning valve bracket. I have no idea what the other one is.

The small chrome "horse shoe" clip is for a socket set strip. It slides on the strip to attach a socket.

You guys were correct. It looks like he replaced it with a new one. Now I have a spare.

I've seen photos of some big blocks that have a PCV hose clip mounted to the passenger side front carburetor stud. Looks similar to the item in your photo.


Maybe yes; maybe no?

I will check my pre-restoration photos in that area but looking at the car it does not seem to work with the PVC hose.

Larger black bracket - possilble power steering pump bracket?
Smaller black bracket - possible battery/starter cable holder, just behind the starter, attaches to bellhousing.

image.jpgLarge black bracket is the bracket that bolts to brake portioning valve, the master cylinder bolts to the two holes shown. The metal part in the way upper right is not part of this bracket.

No clue on the small one??
