My 65 red on red coupe is the first non black interior car that I've owned. The car is a 65 coupe with exterior paint code 900UU (St. Louis body) and interior trim code 407 (red vinyl). I recently replaced the windshield and have the interior metal surround trim off and want to repaint. Noticed the side and top pieces are glossy red and the bottom is a flat rather red oxide color. This jibes with the paint finishes described in the 65 judging manual. Eyebrow pads and the center console plate are a matching red oxide looking color. Looks very much like the color of red oxide lacquer or enamel primer.
Is there a comparable Krylon lacquer paint color for the trim sides and top piece and another for the bottom piece? It appears that the side and top pieces could be the rally red lacquer that matches the exterior paint code 900UU?
