Judging Question: Carburettor Tags for Dual Quad C1 1960 - should they be black?

Hi Forum

I am trying to establish what colour carby tags were on the 1960. I have found a repro set for sale and the seller says they are produced from the original carter blanks and that carby tags for the 1960 year were black. Could one of the NCRS technicla team please confirm this? There is nothing in the judging guide mentioning balck carby tags and I don't want to lose points for incorrect parts. pic attached. My 1960 Corvette with black tags was judged at the Marlboro, MA Regional in 2009. I lost points but then Tim Mickey overruled the deduction noting on the judging sheet that black tags are acceptable.

My 1960 has a repro tag and it is brass colored; had it judged at two regionals without any deduct.

Have not had my 1960 judged yet, but it is a dual qual 245hp engine. The carbs were restored by Bob Kunz and he used black colored tags.
