Attached you will find a picture od the underside of a 1956 Corvette gas tank cover with a red grease pencil marking showing a number 29. Does any one know what this means? The car was built on September 7th 1956.
I would have guessed that in September of 1956 that GM would be producing 1957 Corvettes. Didn't they stop the model year in July or August? My 1962 was built in late August of 1961 (#0362).
