69 Winodw Outboard Adjustment - Help Please

I've disasembled my door window mechanisms, cleaned and reassembled everything. I've followed the instructions in both the AIM and Service Manual for window adjustments. Door alignment is great. My issue is that the top of the window is too far in and I have to slam the door to get it closed. No matter what I do the only way I can get the top of the window out far enough is to push it by hand but no adjustment will keep it there. The one thing I did do was to add power windows so I have replaced the manual regulator with a power window regulator. Seems to work fine so far as moving the window up and down. Is there any way the regulator could be causing an issue with the inboard/outboard window adjustment? Any other ideas on what the issue may be?

Jack, Will the anti rattle pad adjustments help push the window out, They are on a sloted adjustment?

It does somewhat but I didn't think they were really intended to be used like that. Something just doesn't seem right...

Jack, the channels are slotted some but not much,Are they adjusted as far foward as they will go? if there are you can or us a dremel tool to make slots a bit longer if needed.The anti rattle pads will also help support the glass in the up position so don't hesitate to use them for some adjustment.
