Took the box off and rebuilt it and now I am realizing the spacer was not in it. Did the 53-55 have the spacer? The box bolts right to the frame and goes right up through the firewall, I don't know if it would even fit with the spacer. Does anyone have a picture of the 53-55 of the box bolted to the frame.
Thanks

That is what I am asking. I know they had spacers on the 56 and later. I have seen all the vendors listing a pittman arm stop for 53-62 but my pittman arm is not curved like the later ones I am used to seeing. I did not know if the 53-55 used the spacer also. The reason for the question above. So based off your statement I am going to go with a no they dont. Do you have any pictures of your car in the at area. I am restoring car #222 right now.
Thanks
