i've had a Mongoose tool(used to correctly peen the c-1 rebound strap rivets) for many years and used it successfully many times. i lent it out last year and when it returned and i had a use for it, i discovered the tightening process was screwed up. i disassembled the tool to discover that the ball bearing balls were disfigured. since i have a need to use the tool in the near future, i went online for the ball bearing balls. i had to purchase 100 of the balls . certain that i'll never use all of them in my lifetime, i'll be happy to send any Mongoose owners a pair of the balls on the house. mike

Re: free balls
I am not sure why any of us old guys need new balls & sure as hell don't need new ones pressed in. The old ones are still there but have been snipped long ago & hanging lower than they were sort of like old Corvette springs they tend to sag with age.. LOL When I get back to AZ i would like to come to see you. I talked to Harry Hood at my auction. I told him I would come to see you.

Re: free balls
I agree. SORRY DR MIKE but when someone throws you a soft ball you have to hit it out of the park. LOL I guess after the heavy conversation about engine stamping & where NCRS should go I thouhgt we needed to lighten up & your thread along with Jims question I couldn't help it.65 350 TI CONV 67 J56 435 CONV,67,390/AIR CONV,70 454/air CONV,
