    I should've taken more pics...

...at the regional in Altoona. There were zillions of unbelievable cars. I was busy judging for two days plus helping a buddy of mine during his flight judging. Every Corvette in the joint was worth taking the time to pour over. Race cars, Duntov award winners, Sportsman, Star and Bowtie museum pieces...it was an awesome event in an awesome venue. The Pittsburgh Chapter folks deserve much praise for a job well done.

Here's one more. An exquisite 66 BB owned by Irwin Kroiz...

Hi Mark, It was great meeting you in person at our PA Regional. Thanks for the great compliment. I got to walk around myself several times and do agree with you that the quiality of the Corvettes being judged was top flight for sure.
A big thanks goes out to everyone involved with the show. I just got back from the Blair Country Convention Center in Altoona as hour ago. The trouble with this events is when they are over old JD gets very sad. All that work and then in a blink of an eye it's over.
Thanks goes out the Pittsburgh Tri-State Chapter, The car owners, the judges, the team leaders, the tabulators, the workers, the vendors, the sponsors, and a ton of other wonderful individuals. Well known members of our club had seminars second to none. Dave Kitch, show chairman covered all of this and more at our banquet last night. So did our Judging Chairman Bill Bryan. They will tell you more later.
As chairman of the chapter & and a member from the onstart I am quite proud of our chapter members. They put their heart into these event. We had our last regional in June of 2008. The dust hardly settled and we decided on doing it again but we needed a bigger arena than Seven Springs Ski Resort. Needless to say we had no clue as this weekends past show was huge!!!! I don't know the numbers but do know we had at least 130-140?? Corvettes.
By the way one of the nicest things about NCRS members is they have a good heart. When a fellow member has issues with his Corvette such as a mechanical breakdown, etc the owner has a gang around his car attending to the problem quickly. That's really nice you know.
More on the event later from others. But once again may I say thanks to all. Much appreciated. John
P.S. Dr. Mike taught me at at an NCRS National at Seven Springs in the early 90's that the hardest thing about putting on a big event was the trailers.
Our regional had more trailers than you could count. We had a team that worked their butt's off organizing the trailers and I want to tell you they did a perfect job. If only we had an aerial view of the two/three trailer parking lots you would understand.
