    54 carb cables

Hi, What is the procedure (sheathing vs wire) for adjusting the choke on dash to the open and closed postion of the butterfly at each carb, are they suppose to be closed tight and open all the way without any movement in the up position? seems mine with adjusting the sheathing only will adjust them all the way closed but not bring them all the way up within 1/8 or so from tight. how does the wire adjustment come into play? I guess I need the laymans from start to finish, take this loose then, then, then. I took all this off to repaint my Exhaust Man. sorry. Thank you, Brad.

    Re: 54 carb cables

Did you make the exhaust manifold engine blue? - should be - it was painted at the same time at the engine

    On the cables
I installed mine with the choke blades closed
    Install the cable
Then push the pull in - make sure the blades are fully open
    then adjust each one individually
you can adjust the wire at the carb and the cable itself
they should all be closed and open the same....
    it is not too hard.....
