If you like wings, there's a really great little place in Keller. I can't remember the name of the place, but it's a little bar just south of the water tower on the main drag running north and south thru Keller. The locals all know the place. Very little sauce on the wings, but they grill them over Mesquite just before they serve them. My mouth is drooling just typing this. It's a must eat place. Great fries, too.
I think you may be talking about "Up in Smoke", red building with black windows along main drag. Very good. Also, in Dallas area Sonny Bryants for BBQ. They even warm the sauce.
Also, if you are in the SMU area of Dallas Kuby's for excellent German food. Try the Nuremberg sausage, red cabbage, potato pancakes, and German potato salad. A half block away is "Bubba's" with some great fried chicken and sides. ("Bubba's" is owned by the family that ownes "Babe's" chicken house.)
