Question. On my early 69 L-68 I have removed the intake to clean it well. So, when re-installed what portions of the head meeting the intake / intake tips should be painted, if at all?
Doug, according to the judges at this years national the area between the valve cover and the intake should not be painted . Just a little over spray on the front and rear transitions from the cast surface to the machined surface of the head.
