Owned my '71 since new and never replaced the uplevel carpet. Not sure if there's a difference between the base level carpet and the uplevel carpet, but, my uplevel carpet does have a dimmer switch heel pad (sorry about the picture not being rotated).

Hi Don,
I looked at the 71 coupe rear carpet that I bought from Al Knock last year. It DOESN'T have the dip that the carpet in the picture you just posted has. The original carpet in my 71 mid-January built coupe DOES have the dip.
The coupe Knock carpet extends further up the rear bulkhead and interferes with the mounting of the 2 hinges for the rear window storage tray.
