    Re: Altoona registration

Refer to my post which is stuck in the middle of all yours. I will tell Dave Kitch to chirp in here also as he is the key man of this event.
No shortage of motels to stay in near the convention center folks.

Don't miss going to see the PA Railroad Museum. You can spend many hours there.
All Corvettes that are registered for the event will be under roof. Hurry as classes are filling up fast.
This is going to be a big show.
Don't miss the Thursday night welcoming party at the convention center. One of the sponsors is my pal FI Art. Tru story. JD

That's correct Alan. There is no shortage of rooms in the Altoona area. Their are over a 1000 rooms in that area because of Penn State nearby.
The Courtyard by Mariott is sold out. The Ramada Inn has rooms but not at the discount rate as those are sold out.
The Hampton has rooms for 109 as mentioned.
Try the Comfort Inn in Duncansville also. 814-693-1800

The PA Regional is going to be a huge show. The Pittsburgh Chapter crew that is sponsoring the show are truely impressed with all of the NCRS members attending. The show is much bigger than old JD guessed it would be.
We now have a second lot for parking trailer that is adjacent to the lot in front of the Blair County Convention Center(BCCC)
Trailers: Come early with your rigs as there are going to be a ton of (boo coo) trailers. Whew!!!!

Do you know what the most difficult part of putting on a big show is guys and girls??? One word answer is: Trailers.

          John,
Do you know how many cars have registered for flight judging?
          Thanks,
          Steve

            Guys,

If anyone is interested, the Courtyard just called me to let me know that they had a cancellation. They have One room available if anyone wants to jump on it.

If you don't want to pay the high roon rates; try the Super 8 at 3535 Fairway Dr. at $67.50 per night.
              Their # is 814-942-5350...good luck

                Re: Altoona registration

I couldn't get into the Marriott originally, and made a reservation at the Ramada on July 17th, and they sent me a confirmation that night.

I picked up a cancellation tonight at the Marriott, and called the Ramada to cancel there; when I did so, the Ramada told me my reservation had been cancelled back on August 10th by Wyndham due to "NCRS Block Cancelled". Naturally, they didn't notify me - if I had shown up at the Ramada, I wouldn't have had a room, and they wouldn't have had any record of the reservation or confirmation.

If you have a reservation at the Ramada, you might want to call them and confirm that you still have a room; there may be others who don't have a room there any more either and don't know it.

Can I register in person? This was a spur of the moment decision on my way to Virginia. I have no access to a printer. Please say yes!

Too late to register; you can come in and look see for $5.00 person; it's over at 5pm.
